Eagle named Victor filmed the effects of global warming in the Alps

Researchers have captured unique footage of glaciers melting in the Alps thanks to a GoPro camera mounted on the neck of an eagle named Victor. The video appeared on the YouTube channel of the Eagle's Wings Foundation.

The bird flew over the mountains and captured the effects of climate change: structures that had previously been covered in snow were again visible.
Victor also filmed melting glaciers.

On October 2, scientists reported that global warming has caused the melting of permafrost in northern Russia. Experts named Russian cities that are most vulnerable to climate change.

Earlier in our magazine "All about Cosmos" we published an article "Scientists from Russia told how the Sun will increase global warming"

Russian scientist says ozone hole tightens over Antarctica

The ozone hole discovered over Antarctica in 1985 will soon be prolonged and will cease to exist. This opinion was shared by Mikhail Lokoshchenko, a leading researcher in the Department of Meteorology and Climatology of the Moscow State University's Department of Meteorology and Climatology.

According to him, the hole in the ozone layer has not yet tightened, but definitely has become smaller. Scientists believe that it was caused by man and thanks to him, and in particular, the adoption of the Montreal Protocol, began to shrink. "The whole world decided to stop the production of long-lived Freon (Freon 11, Freon 12), which, apparently, was the main reason for such a huge loss of ozone in the atmosphere," Lokoshchenko said.

The expert added that, according to optimistic scientists, the level of ozone in the atmosphere may recover in the coming decades. Recall that the Treaty of Montreal prohibited the use of dangerous freons, which, according to Lokoshchenko, is the most successful example of international cooperation.
